My Writings. My Thoughts.
First Monday
// November 9th, 2009 // No Comments » // Jeremy
This is my first Monday to be job searching and I couldn’t wait for it to get here. I was getting emails Friday and sending out my resume to people, I knew that the responses would slow down through the weekend. It did a bit, which made me excited about getting to today when people would be back in their offices responding to emails again. Already I am responding while finishing this.
This should be an exciting week, now that I have my resume out! I will keep you posted, I promise.

Down to edit…
I am working on the ways to get out my resume to as many worthwhile potential employers as possible and will try to edit this before the end of the day.
Ok…
Well, I have sent out a bunch of copies of my resume and I’m excited! I can’t wait to get into something productive, exciting and new. I want to get out and make a difference somewhere. Just thinking about the prospect of being able to breathe life into something is making me want to keep moving forward.
By the way – here is an actual copy of the resume if you would like it.
Resume Redux
// November 5th, 2009 // No Comments » // Jeremy
After many suggestions from my qualified circle of experts (my friends and family) I am ready to post my resume to several different places. I have already emailed it to a few people who are potentially interested, and will probably send it to everyone in my contact list as well. This being the first time to really use a resume, we’ll see how it goes. Either way, here is the new version. By the way, if you are a potential employer or even just someone else with some constructive criticism I have eliminated my address and phone number, but it can be provided.

Who am I?
I specialize in leadership, management, profit, sales and service in the electronics industry- most recently in access control systems
A self-starter who has set my own schedule (along with other peoples), coordinates, takes charge, and makes it happen. People admire my ability to make something from nothing on a regular basis. I don’t flinch at adversity and always rise to face challenges in front of me. I have found that almost anyone can just show up for work regularly, but I am a guy who can make a company money, and build relationships time and again.
Got Jobs??

I am starting a plan to go out and find a new source for a paycheck. I need to work somewhere normal – I am so tired of taking some investment of another person, making it make money and be more successful – just to be left to rot once that happens.
There is nothing more frustrating than getting a business (another individuals dream) to the point where it will be ultra successful with my own blood and sweat just to be pushed to the side so that they can finish it on their own and call it their achievement while they break it.
I want so badly to see one of these things through to the end and share in the rewards – not just do all the work to watch someone else make a mess of things. Is there a reason that people are so greedy? Is there a point to not wanting to just share success and just be happy that you’re doing well?
The only thing that I can do is just keep trying I guess. Someday soon I hope to work at a place that is purely concerned about making the most of their potential – instead of being hung on who is the popular one with the customers, gets the credit for the things accomplished, or has the most phone calls. Why would you care who customers want to talk to, as long as the customers want to spend money with you?
I am going find something else to do, make someone lots of money (while making myself a decent living), and be happy about it – that’s what I do.
Would you work here?
